Lou Dorfsman is one of the all-time advertising, art direction, and design greats. Most art directors are not great designers, and vice-versa. Lou was both. Forty years with CBS, working directly with President Frank Stanton and founder Bill Paley.

When Lou received the distinguished AIGA medal, I made a brochure for Lou, each page satirizing type styles of a given decade. Here are a few.

The "Tisched in his chips" refers to the later epoch of Larry Tisch which marked the end of Lou's career at CBS.
