The Alphabetical Listing used Scrabble as visual metaphor. The hangtags won our first Art Directors Club Award—shapes drawn by technical artist Gai Fong. As a teenager I worked for record stores in Brooklyn so a monthly brochure of releases was familiar to me as a customer. In this case, for April and the start of baseball, artist Richard Bennett did the autographs. We designed a series of employee booklets. Andy Warhol drew one booklet, Push Pin Studios did the others —Seymour Chwast, Milton Glaser, Paul Davis, and we feature a page drawn by John Alcorn.
